Residents of Hoopstad/Tikwana notice is hereby given that our pump station number 4 has experienced some voltage spikes emanating from the nearby transformer. Therefore, the matter was reported to Eskom and a new transformer will be installed tomorrow in an effort to get the pump station back in operation.
It must be noted that there will be some sewer spillages due to failure of the pump station not being able to pump the raw sewer to the wastewater treatment plant (sewer plant)
Contingency measures will be put in place to mitigate the spillages but it must be noted that the community will still experience some degree of sewer spillage until the pump station is back in operation.
